Our office caters to the small investor. Currently we are focusing our efforts on acquiring properties for investment purposes for investor clients in the areas of Watsonville and North Salinas. Our office manages the properties so you can be assured of a “full service” investment. There are opportunities now to purchase condominiums and townhouses in gated communities in North Salinas between $60,000 and $125,000. They typically require about $10,000 to $15,000 in rehabilitation work to make them “rent ready”. Most of them are typically bank foreclosures that are being resold in the marketplace. The cash on cash return is typically in the 5-8% range, which varies depending upon the deal, not including tax benefits or appreciation. David Beccaria and his wife Kristin founded the original company in 1987. David began his career in real estate in 1978 in sales working for his father at Wellington Realtors. David has been a licensed California Real Estate Broker since 1979. David also has been a real estate appraiser since 1989. He received his Certified Residential Appraisal License in 1991 and his Certified General Real Estate Appraisal License in 2003. He received his RAA designation in 2002 and his GAA designation in 2006. David served on the Board of Directors for the Santa Cruz Association of Realtors in 1985.
David received his IFA designation in 1993 and his IFAS designation in 2003. David was selected California Appraiser of the Year for NAIFA in 2002. David has served as President and Vice President of the Central CA Coast Chapter of NAIFA over the past 15 years.
David graduated from Santa Clara University in 1977 with a degree in Finance, and from Golden Gate University in 1981 with an MBA in Real Estate.
David has extensive experience in real estate sales closing in excess of 300 transactions. He has experience with Section 1031 tax deferred exchanges. He has also been involved in the creation of over 50 partnerships for the express purpose of acquiring and holding real estate investments. David has been involved in property management for in excess of 30 years.
David also has a broad background in real estate appraisal having completed or supervised in excess of 7,000 appraisal reports. He has completed narrative appraisal reports in San Francisco, Alameda, Monterey, San Benito, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and Sonoma Counties.
Greg Weber , President of Beccaria & Weber Inc. is a CA Broker and CA Certified Appraiser with over 25 years experience in Santa Cruz, Monterey, Santa Clara and San Benito Counties. Greg is a long term resident of Santa Cruz County and provides his clients with the depth and breadth of experience so important in today's challenging real estate market.
Matt Beccaria's experience in Real Estate started in 2006 when he first began to work for his father David Beccaria at David Beccaria & Associates where he assisted in the completion of over 100 Single family and mobile/manufactured appraisal reports.
Since 2006 Matthew has extensively traveled and lived around the world while finishing his Undergraduate education.
Two notable places of interest being Ghana and china. He is able to speak basic conversational mandarin and continues to study. In June 2008 he graduated from Cabrillo College with honorable mention and received his Associates in Liberal Arts & Sciences. Then in 2010 he graduated from the University of California Santa Cruz with Cum Laude Honors and received his Bachelors in American Studies.
In July 2011 he passed the California Real Estate Salesperson Exam.
Steve Layman has been a licensed real estate agent in California for 19 years. He has six years experience working in rental management and real estate accounting. He joined the staff in October 2008 to work in the property management division. He also has experience in HOA management.

Dana grew up in Santa Cruz and after serving 6 years in the Air Force came back to her hometown in 1992 and began her career in real estate sales. In 2003 she obtained her Real Property Appraiser's License to further her knowledge of the real estate business. Dana has performed appraisals all over Santa Cruz county as well as many neighboring counties such as Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Benito and Monterey. Dana has represented buyers interested in purchasing properties as far as Sacramento, Marin and Santa Rosa.
Her passion is helping first time buyers and Veterans with their dream of home ownership.
Meet Kent Ohmann the newest Broker/Associate at Beccaria & Weber, but definitely not lacking experience. He received his Real Estate License in 1979. The past 18 years he has run his own office, Prunedale Properties. He also has a Real Estate license in Hawaii. Kent says; “The most satisfying feeling about helping people buy and sell their homes is my clients become my friends 99% of the time. I like tuning into their wants and needs. Seeing their smiling faces at the close of the sale”.
Kent was born and raised in Campbell, California. Amongst the cherry and prune orchards. He became somewhat famous in 1970. Playing in the Little League World Series in Williamsport Pennsylvania for Campbell Little League. He continues to give back his love for the game by having coached organized ball for the past 20 years.
His family consists of his youngest jakob who is a stand-out catcher at Cabrillo College. Daughter Jade who was an all-conference 3rd baseman at Cabrillo, who has since transferred to San Jose State.
The eldest Jazmin, who was an all conference goalie at Foothill College and will be transferring to University Cal. Santa Cruz. Oh yeah, the Ohmann family all work a part time home base business called Pre-paid Legal Services Inc. The business is run by Kent's beautiful wife Fiaau Tapuloa Seumanutafa. She goes by “Fia”. She was born and raised in American Samoa. Fia and Kent have been married 24 years. Fia also runs the household by helping care for Kent's 93 year old mother Mickey and her 84 year old mother Mia. Kent says, “We definitely live a busy life. We still find time to travel and we like keeping our bodies in shape.”
Gordon has been a licensed real estate agent since 2001 and has worked in brokerages in Santa Cruz County as well as Santa Clara County. Gordon earned his GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designation in 2002. He has been a member in good standing with the Santa Cruz County Association of Realtors, the Silicon Valley Association of Realtors and the Santa Clara County Association of Realtors, as well as the California and National Associations.
Gordon and his wife, Celeste (also a licensed real estate agent) have resided in Santa Cruz since 1985 and raised their family here. Their two daughters are graduates of the University of California Santa Barbara and both are currently working on their Masters Degree.
